Pimlott Foundation presents

Music for the Kings

This concert features two early music groups. We welcome back TETRA, who last performed for the Pimlott Foundation in St Martin’s Church Colchester, and Les Laurentines, who are currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music.

LES LAURENTINES (Royal Academy of Music ): Victoire Bunel (mezzo-soprano), Julie Pumir (harpsichord), Alice Trocellier (viola da gamba)
A programme of Elizabethan Music by John Cooper, John Dowland, Robert Johnson, Tobias Hume, and William Lawes & French music for the court  of Louis XIV, the Sun King by Marin Marais and François Couperin (Including François Couperin’s Second Leçons de Ténèbres, the composer’s profoundly personal work based on the Lamentations of Jeremiah.)
