THE GAINSBOROUGH QUARTET is a Suffolk-based ensemble who have enjoyed performing together for several years. They have played at numerous venues, including Holkham Hall, the RAF Club in Piccadilly, Bruisyard Hall and Henham Park. In 2021 they were invited to demonstrate a quartet of new instruments by the Italian luthier Bizzi at the London International Festival of Early Music in Blackheath Halls.

Kathryn, Helen, Cal and Melanie are individually all successful freelance musicians with varied interests and specialities. As a quartet they are in demand for weddings, functions, concerts and workshops across the region, offering a large and varied repertoire from different musical genres. Forthcoming engagements include concerts in Rushmere St Andrew and in Walpole Chapel, where they will be joined by the baritone Robert Gildon.
