Emma Bishton is a choir leader, soprano and accompanist who directs choirs and informal singing groups in the Colchester and Ipswich areas.
A former music therapist, she is experienced at leading choirs and singing groups in school and community settings and draws on a wide range of repertoire from folk songs and show songs to major classical works.
As a singer, Emma has a particular interest in early music and contemporary music. She is a member of the 5-part group the Marenzio Singers, and regularly performs as a soloist with the Suffolk Villages Festival.
When not working in music, Emma undertakes projects and independent evaluations in healthcare, and is currently seeking to draw these two areas of her work together, by developing her interest in evaluations in the field of arts and health.
