Carolyn Burton is a BMus graduate from the University of Birmingham, where she specialised in Performance and enjoyed playing the violin in a variety of orchestras and ensembles.
This included playing in the CBSO Youth Orchestra, leading the University Philharmonic Orchestra, and founding the Briga String
Quartet. She is also a member of the British Police Symphony
Orchestra. Born in Thailand
and growing up in Anglesey, North Wales, Carolyn was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Wales for 6 years, and is the manager of the North Wales Camerata.
She strongly believes in the importance of a musical education for all young people, based on her own experience of so many opportunities within her local music service; and she is currently working as the Music Hub Administrator for Ealing Music Service in London. Carolyn is delighted to be performing with her fellow university colleague today and looks forward to more performances together in the future.
