‘Summer Is A Coming In’ – Summer Concert & Workshops!

Our summer concert will take place in Old House Barn on Sunday 9th July, at 5pm.
This year, our concert will reflect Pimlott Foundation’s work with young musicians, and with soloists who have just embarked on their professional careers.
Some names will be familiar to you; George Ireland ( piano), who has just completed his studies in Birmingham, and recently performed Grieg’s piano concerto there.

Matthew Tomko (bass), sang with us at Orwell Park School, and Evie Press, (Sandman in Hansel and Gretel), will feature in the line-up!

Tickets £11.00 including refreshments.
Students / children free.

IN ADDITION – WORKSHOPS & PICNIC…
Old House Gardens will be open from 2pm – so why not bring a picnic? There will be tea/ coffee/ bar available all afternoon…

Expressive Art and Mindfulness, with Annabel Ridley –
Artist & Printmaker & Heather Rachel Johnston – 2 – 4pm

A workshop to enhance the expressive qualities of Making Art. There will be an emphasis on inner and outer forms of expression and playful qualities of mark-making, rhythm, tone and composition.

Mindfulness encourages a connection with our senses building awareness , internal and external develops perception of how we interpret a visual form. Focus for this workshop will be on responding to the garden, nature and environment with attention on building a drawing that responds to both a visual and emotional experience.

The workshop will start with a series of short drawing exercises followed by a short mindful experience before developing a longer drawing responses to the garden. All materials provided and some light refreshments. All welcome and no previous experience necessary.  Cost £20

Aqua Fit / Pilates (weather dependent!), with Jo Clark.
