Helen Vidovich

London-based flautist Helen Vidovich performs internationally as an orchestral and chamber musician. Career highlights include performances at the Sydney Opera House and Royal Albert Hall, and work with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.

As a recording artist with the Marsyas Trio, Helen appears on the NMC and Meridian labels. The 2018 CD release, In the Theatre of Air, debuted at No.7 on the classical charts, with features in the Sunday Times “The week’s Essential New Releases”, BBC Music Magazine (4-stars) and Gramophone. The 2015 CD release, A Triple Portrait, received international airplay and glowing reviews in the Strad, Tempo and Australia’s Limelight Magazine. Concert highlights include international touring and live TV & Radio. The ensemble’s projects and commissions have been supported by Arts Council England, PRSF, HMUK, the Britten-Pears Foundation and RVW Trust.

Helen undertook postgraduate studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London, following a Master’s degree at the Sydney Conservatorium. Her teachers include Michael Cox (BBC Symphony Orchestra) and Sharon Williams (London Symphony Orchestra). Helen has performed in masterclasses throughout Europe with leading international figures, and has performed as a soloist with the Sydney Chamber Orchestra, including Mozart’s Flute and Harp Concerto with harpist Marshall McGuire.
