Daniela Bechly
Born in Hamburg she established her career as a lyric soprano in opera houses throughout Germany, Austria and Switzerland before coming to live in the UK.
Her repertoire in opera, concert work and recording spans the Baroque to contemporary composers.
Her Mozart opera roles include Pamina, and Zerlina. She has performed as Rhinemaiden in Wagner’s Ring Cycle, Agathe in Weber’s Freischütz, The Goose Girl in Königskinder by Humperdinck and Marguerite in Gounod’s Faust
Daniela is involved with the development of the Pimlott Foundation, which she established in the name of her late husband.

Helen Thorne
Helen Thorne has been involved with The Pimlott Foundation for 5 years.
She has taught for many years, and was assistant head teacher at an Ipswich secondary school.
She is a musician, playing violin and viola with Wolsey Orchestra and Ipswich Orchestral Society.
Helen is passionate about travel, and also works with Buhumba Foundation College, Uganda, as part of a sustainable educational programme.

Dr Phil Murray
Dr Phil Murray is the Pimlott Foundation's Treasurer. Phil studied mathematics at Cambridge before qualifying as a medical doctor. He has had a far reaching career in the NHS at a senior level, working in London teaching hospitals before moving to Colchester as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist becoming Lead Cancer Clinician and Head of Radiotherapy Service. Phil enjoys sailing, music, and life in Wivenhoe.
