Past Educational Programmes
Below are example of previous educational programs and workshops undertaken with various local schools and other organisations.
The Pimlott Foundation works with staff and students of primary and secondary schools to develop education projects that are both curriculum linked and also musically inspiring.
Workshops are delivered within schools and also at Old House Barn, Great Horkesley, the base of The Pimlott Foundation.
Choral workshops, masterclasses and school visits are regular features of the education programme and are delivered by professional musicians.
Students are offered the opportunity to take part in relevant Pimlott Foundation events and concerts.
Brush Up Your Shakespeare Workshops
Shakespearean workshops, delivered by Adey Grummet (singing) and Rebecca Guyver (art), focused on Shakespeare in art and music.
Children from Langham Primary and Bishop William Ward Primary Schools made soundscapes, learned new songs, made Shakespearean portraits and designed books. Emma Bishton was our accompanist. The art work produced was put on display at the Shakespeare Concert.
We worked closely with these schools, offering opportunities for young people and teachers to work alongside professional musicians. You can find out more details about the Pimlott Foundation’s work with young people here.
